UK Petition: Lift EU/US sanctions on Russia to increase trade now the UK is leaving the EU

As the UK has chosen to exit the EU, we will be no longer bound by US-influenced, EU sanctions on Russia. We should lift sanctions on Russia as an independent country to regain the millions of pounds of trade we have lost with Russia. We don’t need to participate in EU/US sanctions against Russia.

More details
The EU and the US introduced sanctions on Russia over the democratic decision of the people of Crimea to reunify with Russia and Russia’s alleged backing of separatists in Eastern Ukraine. The UK had to participate in this as an EU member. Now the UK is leaving the EU, we need not be dictated to by it. Lost trade with Russia costs the UK many millions of pounds. This is trade that we are now at liberty to get back. Russia is a market of 140m consumers British business needs. Continue reading

Poroshenko Is Wondering When He WIll Be Deposed by Coup.

Kiev’s dreams of retaking Crimea and the independent regions of Donbass have finally been recognised in Washington and Brussels as the pipe dream they always were .

Russia has made it very clear that it wont accept continued American hegemony, indeed, Russia is a party to the very necessary managed decline of America as a world superpower.

America has now opened up what it calls a ‘direct channel of communication with Russia’ on the Ukraine crisis. One reason Kerry was recently in Sochi and Nuland in Moscow.

Meanwhile, Poroshenko has fired the head of the Security Service, a chap called Nalivaichenko who was rumoured to be an American operative.

The US has realised it needs to get out of Ukraine while saving face. Responsibility will be quietly passed to Russia to help bring the Ukraine crisis to an end (better late than never I suppose).

This means it is time for Poroshenko to go. But where? Putin wont rescue him as he did with his predecessor. Or if he does, it will have more strings attached than he will like.

Poroshenko is pulling up the drawbridges and trying to surround himself with his own men.

A futile attempt in my opinion. The writing is on the wall. Continue reading

American “Democracy”, Russia, Ukraine and the EU.

Just ask yourself what would we do if Russia was spending billions of dollars propping up a coup in Mexico or Canada? How would we feel about them moving military weapons into adjoining nations if there were any?

Apparently this doesn’t bother the average American. That Germany is one of the members of NATO that is most supportive of the United States is totally lost on them also. The fact that 20 million Russians died dislodging the fascist German military machine, along with their Eastern European allies seems not to enter into the equation. The only predominant theme is the unrelenting propaganda coming from CNN, CBS and other mainstream media. The fact that most of what is being reported is retracted days later falls on deaf ears.

One reason I don’t write as often as I would like to is because it takes a chisel and a hammer to get things to register with most Americans. That and the fact that my writing is only carried on publications that people who already have a good grasp of what the score really is, actually read. I wish that every so often, people that don’t have an inkling of what is really happening would take a moment out of their precious, self-involved day and read what I’m trying to tell them.

Russia needs a civil war or a confrontation in Ukraine like most people need cancer. There is nothing in it for them. They sell natural gas to Ukraine and I’m sure they don’t want that income to stop. The provinces that are protesting against the people that pulled the coup in Kiev were given to Ukraine by Russia. Kerry is lying, Obama is lying and nobody seems to care. Well, after the sanctions put in place today, the deputy Russian foreign minister said that if the astronauts need replacing in the space station need transportation, perhaps they should use a trampoline. Oh, by the way, he also said that foreign energy interests in the Russian gas and oil regions may be curtailed.

Maybe that will make the people that run the American government sit up and take notice. Continue reading

Why would Ukraine purposely shoot down flight MH17?

The story goes – and I am only repeating the theories I have read here – that a large number of Ukrainian forces were hemmed in near the Russian border and faring very badly and something drastic needed to happen before they were toast.

Ukraine is low on manpower and has resorted to conscription again; they don’t have much juice left.

This was a manoeuvre to try to drag in the international community to do the job in the east for them. If the world buys the tale that the rebels did it, backed up by some fabricated audio and video, opinion turns against the rebels and Russia would have to throw them under the bus too in order to save face.

Had the plane coasted and crashed over the border in Russia, it would have been a PR disaster for Putin. And the world would blame Putin. The media would have said it was shot by Russia. Cue Ukraine’s assistance from the rest of the world again.

Some sources are reporting that the US knows exactly who did it and why, and are choosing to stay quiet and non-committal on the matter. To do otherwise is to throw their mates under the bus.

The big picture is reputed by some to be that what we are seeing are all chess moves to justify an American war against Russia; be that a financial or military one.

It is said that America needs another war and it can surely be no coincidence that Russia is a huge exporter of oil and gas and America is now producing large quantities of um… oil and gas.

Added to which, Putin is now conducting energy deals in Rubles having eschewed the dollar, and China and other countries are jumping on that bandwagon. Which for reasons an economist might elaborate on better than me, is *really* bad for America’s economic future if the idea grows legs.

In that context, it seems more credible that Ukraine as a puppet state of America would shoot down a plane of civilians. Especially when you have a bogeyman to blame.

The Ukrainians are happy enough to kill civilians in the east as we have seen. And they have done it before.

Conjecture or not? None of us know yet. Continue reading
