Those of us who own an Oreck vacuum cleaner will no doubt have noticed the exorbitant prices for some of the spare parts.
Today I wanted to find a brushroll for my Oreck XL. The manufacturer original part number is ORE7520201, but as they cost almost £50, I decided that there would be none of that going on.
It seems the same brushroll fits the entire range: XL100, 200, 888, 988, 5000, 5300, 8300, 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400, 80300, 90100, 90200, 90300, 90400, XL2205, XL2605, XL2325, XL2455, XL2545, XL9100E, XL9300E, XL9300EES, XL2005RH, XL2005HH and XL2006RH.
For some reason, they seem to come in a variety of colours, here are three:
But colour makes no difference at all, they are all the same technical spec.
So, how to fit one?
Not too difficult it seems, and a rather fetching looking American girl does a demo here:
Doesn’t she have the coolest accent?
Anyway, here in the UK, none genuine ones can be had for in the region of £20 it seems.
But I wanted cheaper………..and here is what I found:
£14.99 including UK delivery!
From a top-rated eBay seller no less. And here’s where to get it from: >>Oreck XL Brushroll<<
