Taking Viagra or Cialis. A Men’s Guide

Truth be told, at your age, assuming 40’s or above, you are NOT the same as you were at 25.

These drugs are not aphrodisiacs, although, for many men, the revitalization that they can bring can act in much the same way, with the right woman and/or circumstances.

Some men respond better to one drug than another but they all work in much the same way. If you tried Cialis but felt only a hot flush then try Viagra.

Before you buy any of these drugs get yourself a checkup and ask your quack if he is willing to prescribe them for you, if he says ‘no’ then there is a reason and take heed.… Click here to continue reading this article

Another Random African email Fraudster

Old scam — new email. The Africans never tire of bombarding our inboxes with tales of great Uncle Boogaloo who just happened to fall off the twig with multiple millions of dollars stashed in some bank somewhere.

I wonder if people actually reply to these people? Maybe you know. Anyway, if you are Googling for the content of the email below that you received, be assured it is a scam.

A fresh one that dropped in our mailbox today was this little gem:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & REPLY BACK,

First and formost,I have to introduce myself to you.I

HDNL Home Delivery Network Slow Delivery Problems

They are cheaper than DHL, and are rumoured to be taking over DHL (god help us!). The hopelessly inefficient HDNL Home Delivery Network is getting worse and worse.

A perfectly standard package recently took two weeks from London to Manchester. Ye gods, we could have walked faster.

Unfortunately, this is typical. There appears to be a lack of general common sense going on at HDNL. We have a retail premises that is only open between 10am and 4pm. It’s a six hour window isn’t it? Not altogether unreasonable. We always ensure the packages are clearly labelled DRIVER: BETWEEN 10-4 ONLY!Click here to continue reading this article

Name and Shame Bad eBayers

Since eBay made the feedback system a one way street, it added yet another level to the disadvantages that must be endured by eBay sellers. Buyers (even the ones that don’t pay) now operate with impunity on eBay. Sellers are unable to leave anything other than positive feedback for buyers. This assumes all buyers are without blemish and in possession of a clean set of morals and ethics. All very well if you live in The Night Garden, but not entirely realistic in the real world.

The Paypal scammer is the worst of these.… Click here to continue reading this article

Visiting a Ukrainian Girl in Sumy

Friday 9th July

Wizzair, London Luton to Kiev, non-stop. Mercedes Benz, Kiev to Sumy, several stops. I didn’t take any photos of the plane sorry. From what I remember it was big and purple if that helps, and the car was black. You don’t get TV’s on Wizzair flights but surprising the Merc had one although rather worryingly it was set up for the driver to watch. I guess videos of semi naked Russian pop stars provide a welcome distraction to the regular monotony of near head on collisions and traffic cops waving small batons.… Click here to continue reading this article

Visiting a Russian Girl in Novosibirsk — The Story!

I speak Russian. I wouldn’t say that I’m fluent, but I can carry on a conversation and know five thousand words. My grammar is quite accurate, even when using more complicated grammar concepts like passive participles and verbal adverbs. My reading and writing is pretty good. I don’t get the opportunity to speak and listen as much as I’d like, but I have no problem carrying on a conversation. I chat with Russian girls all the time on the phone in Russian. It’s not a problem as long as the connection is clear.… Click here to continue reading this article

Treating Chicken Pox in Adults

So you get to the ripe old age of forty,  having never had ChickenPox, and your child suddenly develops the dreaded varicella zoster virus (VZV) having picked it up at school. The natural reaction is to try to keep the disease ridden offspring at arms length as much as possible during the infectious stage. However, that is easier said than done.  Another thought might be to ensure the younger sibling paws and frolics with the older one in order to be certain of infection and get it all over with together.… Click here to continue reading this article

WordPress Blogs to Accept Cyrillic, Estonian and Polish Text?

Our wonderful wordpress blog here doesn’t accept Cyrillic text.

It doesn’t accept Estonian text. It doesn’t accept Polish text.

We want to blog in Russian Cyrillic text, Ukrainian Cyrillic text and Polish and Estonian Latin text. Yet wordpress doesnt seem to want us to do that.

After some Googling, I learned that one might insert some // before something in the wp-config folder, but that didn’t work.

I asked our host about it. First I got flannel:

UTF8 should work for the fonts. When was the website initially created? There was a recent change where we changed to UTF8.

Mercedes Rotating Star Screensaver

Mercedes Rotating Star Screensaver!

In the early 2000’s, Mercedes enthusiasts were passing around this screensaver on the owners club forums. Everyone loved it — it was a classic. However, it only worked on Windows 95 and Windows 98 machines.

By the time Windows XP came along, it wouldn’t work any more as the file format differed. Everyone thought it was lost forever and the various Mercedes forums are still littered with topics asking for it.

Recently, I was clearing out some old floppy discs, and I found the disc I had from back then with this screensaver on.… Click here to continue reading this article

The Best Restaurant in Togliatti (Tolyatti) Russia. Orient Express.

At last I have found a restaurant in Togliatti that is good.

Orient Express.
35 Victory 40 Street.
Avtozavodsky.
Togliatti

Tel: (8482) 555777

http://www.vostok-express.com/

Stop Press! The service is polite, efficient and attentive! Yes, you read that right; the service is beyond superb by any standards. By Russian standards, the service is out of this world.

The place is done up in the style of an old time train as you might expect. Not in a tacky way but rather like a gentlemen’s club I would say. You could easily imagine yourself to be in an up market London club with the decor.… Click here to continue reading this article

Russian Women Adventures Newsletter – Summer 2010.

Russian Ukrainian Adventures Newsletter – Summer 2010.

Hello,

I want to take a moment to welcome again our many new members to the conversation forums that we have gained recently. Some have arrived from other now abandoned forums, some from US radio shows, some from Yahoo groups and others from the Russian Bride Guide. It’s good to have so many new members. Please do not be shy about jumping into any conversations on the forum that pique your interest.

So, What’s Happening?

Summer has finally arrived in most of Europe, and it is the time many guys traditionally choose to fly out to meet women or visit existing family.… Click here to continue reading this article

How to deal with slow, late and non eBay payers

As an eBay seller, you will have had your fair share of slow, late or non paying eBayers. We get them all the time. This article deals with how to deal with them.

The various forums attached to eBay are full of all kinds of flowery crap about how you should “wait for people” and generally sit around wondering if you are going to be paid. I don’t subscribe to those theories.

You are on ebay to sell stuff. If they “buy” it (win the bid) your next job is to get them to pay in a timely manner.… Click here to continue reading this article

eBay Buyers and Their Use of Capital and Lower Case Letters

Like any eBay seller, you want to mail an item and have it arrive. Nobody wants “item not received” claims. Our Post Office is not perfect though. The days of 1st Class being one day transit time and 2nd class being 2-3 days transit time are long gone. In reality, 1st class tends to be 1-4 days and 2nd class up to a week. That is assuming they are not on strike or delayed by snow or leaves on the line or whatever it is this week that makes it slower still.… Click here to continue reading this article

The Russian Embassy (Consulate) in London. How to find it and what to expect.

The Russian Embassy (Consulate) in London. How to get there, find it and what to expect whilst there.

We have had cause to go to the Russian Consulate in London several times lately, the last of which being today. I thought I might share a few snippets of info about the joint.

Getting there: I previously sought the advice of a few guys I know from the South.

City of Westminster Parking

I was advised not to drive in central London as parking is £40+ if you can find anywhere to park at all. Not to mention the congestion charge.… Click here to continue reading this article

2009kclarke Kenneth J Clarke eBay ST2 0AP

Another eBay miscreant to write up here for the benefit of Google.  This one takes non-paying to a new level by not only not paying, but making excuses as well and then costing you money!

The name to block is 2009kclarke which is a user name with only nine feedbacks (need I say more?). His name is Kenneth J Clarke, he lives at 21 Tinagel Place, Berryhill, Stoke on Trent, ST2 0AP.  His number is 07933 538 604. His email address is: kenjohnclarke@googlemail.com

Here is the gag he pulled on us: He bid on a listing then completed checkout electing to pay by “credit cards”.… Click here to continue reading this article

Ian Kowalski (ian_ski) 165 The Briars WS9 8AQ

Another eBay miscreant to add the the Google pool here. The policy of eBay to not allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers is ill conceived and gives buyers licence to take the piss as you will see.

Today’s internet lunatic for exposure on the Real Deal is Ian Kowalski, 165 The Briars, Aldridge, Walsall,  West Midlands.  WS9 8AQ. His eBay handle is “ian_ski” – he sells head map pins on eBay. Well I guess somebody must.

He recently bought a 99p item on eBay. It was a domestic appliance part.… Click here to continue reading this article

Radio, TV Interview Report – RTIR

I happened upon a group of connected websites that I think are the same guy:

nationalpublicitysummit.com/
appearontoptvshows.com/special
rtir.com (click on the “want to be a guest box”)
milliondollarauthorprogram.com/yourcopy/

I was searching for radio station interview info in the US. The RTIR is some kind if small magazine that purportedly goes out to 4000+ radio producers. It is not cheap, starting at $877 for a single issue (The same is available on some kind of recurring deal @ $447 – I dont like monthly billing deals.)

When you fill in the RTIR form on the site you get e-mailed a link to this page: http://www.freepublicity.com/pdf/rateinfo_nlc.pdfClick here to continue reading this article

Hyde Tameside Sorting Office Post Office

So what’s happening with the delivery of small packets and parcels at the Post Office in the Hyde, Greater Manchester (Tameside) area recently?

We know they like to go on strike quite often. And every strike is reason enough for delays and backlogs. Recently, they have had a new reason for backlog and delay: SNOW.

The Post Office is so useless the last few months that even eBay are recommending using alternative carriers. All manner of outfits will now deliver small parcels around and about the place for between £3 and £10 depending on size and weight.… Click here to continue reading this article

Jaipur Indian Food Hyde

This evening we were in Hyde in Cheshire. We wanted Indian food. I googled for it (as you do) and found a site called CurriesOnline.co.uk – From there I found Jaipur. On the site are various reviews.

forget the rest
the best indian in tameside by miles. excellent food matched by presentation.

Screamed somebody called Steve. Steve doesn’t even know how to use capital letters, so can we trust him to know a decent curry when he eats one?

If they were king prawns, I`ll eat my hat

King prawn korma– contained no king prawns, had only cut up pieces of prawn, probably no more than 4 prawns total — very disappointed.

Ashton Service Centre DHL (Yodel)

Ashton Service Centre DHL

If you have Googled “Ashton Service Centre” in relation to a hopeless, delayed or missing DHL delivery and landed here, you can be comforted that you are not alone.

I am a regular DHL user through the excellent services of parcel2go.com (through whom you can send parcels with DHL at a fraction of DHL “official” prices). However, this parcel was incoming to me, and not arranged by me. It was a parcel from a store in Aberdeen in Scotland to be delivered to Manchester.

DHL were allegedly two days late in collecting it from Aberdeen, but lets put that down to the bad snow up there and the Christmas rush, added to possibly inaccurate shipping information from the store.… Click here to continue reading this article
