Just Released Dyson DC07 Workshop Manual Shows DIY Enthusiasts How To Fix Their Dyson Vacuum Cleaner at Home

Aberdeen, Scotland December 06, 2011

The specialist Dyson vacuum cleaner engineer Angus Black has used his own experience – spanning almost thirty years – to create a fully illustrated workshop and service manual for the Dyson DC07 available to all DIY Dyson enthusiasts, while shattering the myths that suggested Dysons were too complicated for the practically-inclined layman to work on.

The tongue-in-cheek cover, which features a sexy blonde in a tight white t-shirt, hard hat and torn jeans, standing amongst several Dyson DC07’s, has already caused some controversy among feminist groups and made the book’s sales jump, thanks to the unsought publicity.… Click here to continue reading this article

Are you looking for a Dyson DC07 workshop manual? Until recently, nobody had published a DC07 service book – now they have. The Unofficial Dyson DC07 Workshop Manual is available only in paperback – there is no “e-book”.

The author, Angus Black, shares his own thirty years of experience repairing vacuum cleaners. He shares little-known trade secrets about the Dyson DC07, together with where to source trade-only tools.

“The author has created something which genuinely offers the ‘inside scoop.’ It is an absolute must-read for anyone seeking a DC07 maintenance guide,” wrote David Myers, a technician at Manchester Vacs, an independent Dyson specialist.… Click here to continue reading this article

DPD Geopost Telephone Numbers

Looking for a local alternative telephone number for the totally pants couriers DPD Geopost? Here they are:

Delivery firm DPD is doing very nicely, judging by its latest accounts says the Daily Mirror.

It’s owned by Geopost UK (ultimate parent company is La Poste in France), which last year made a £34million profit, £20m was trousered by shareholders, and the top director got £465,000

They don’t publish local phone numbers except the dratted 0844 and 0871 numbers. I hate those. Pay money to listen to music? No thanks. Call the local DPD depot?… Click here to continue reading this article

dateritme.ru – More Russian Dating Scammers and Spammers

I get a lot of spam. Predictably much of it Russian bride related. However, these clowns are spamming one of our site addresses.
Not just the odd one either. I am getting several a day from all different addresses. But they all point to the same site: dateritme.ru

So, it narked me off deleting this crap (which passes the spam filters incidentally) and I spent 5 minutes researching them.
Here is another one I got just now:
Hello dear, do you remember how we communicated with you? Long ago you could not see, I am Marina – with Russia, do you remember me?

TomTom Start 20 Sat Nav Review – Beware! Item Not Fit For Purpose!

If you are seeking a satellite navigation device, you could do far better than buying a TomTom Start 20 model. I bought one today and it is a big thumbs down already. I do not recommend you buy one.

Fundamentally, the product is not fit for purpose as it is sold. Here is why.

I got the version with 45 European maps on. I actually wanted one with world maps (or USA at least as I visit there). However, I couldn’t find such a version online at reasonable money, and the guy in Halfords (yes, I know) said they could be downloaded from the TomTom website in exchange for money.… Click here to continue reading this article

Dyson Hot – The AM04 Electric Fan Heater

In the Daily Mail today, a sycophantic Sean Poulter screams: “Get it while its hot!” and goes on to talk about the new Dyson Hot electric room heater.

Essentially a Dyson fan with some slick new heating elements attached, the new Dyson Hot (badged as the AM04) fills a gap in the Dyson range in that it is a blade-less fan heater that doesn’t collect dust all over the elements like old-style fan heaters of yore. Yes, OK, with the price of gas now, an effective electric heater may be in our sights.… Click here to continue reading this article

The Shashlik! The Barbie, Barbecue, BBQ, etc. The Grilling Meat Topic.

I thought we could use a lighter-hearted topic that may also allow us all to learn something from each other.

I was never too much into the barbie. In the UK they typically consist of a drunk bloke giving his guests food poisoning with a few nasty burgers and sausages [made from mechanically recovered meat] that are burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. :sick0012:

When I was first invited to the dacha in Russia, there was a big pan full of pieces of pork that were sat in water with chopped onions and a heavy weight on top all day.… Click here to continue reading this article

Nigerian Scammer: poohlovess28@msn.com – Sam Woods

Nigerian scammers take on many forms and contact many small businesses.

They will typically use stolen credit card details, pretend to be big importer/exporters of whatever you sell and happily place a big order.

Well, wouldn’t you place a big order if you were getting it for free? A new idea is to use their stolen cards to arrange their own couriers. That way, when it leaves your premises, you have no right of recall when the payment is reversed by the bank hours later; when the fraud is detected.

They like to try to rip off small businesses because they imagine small business owners will not be au fait with 714 and other Nigerian scams.… Click here to continue reading this article

The Best Honey in the World: Russian Honey

I was recently waxing lyrical about honey from Russia and Estonia. A guy said to me:

Odd.  Please explain why.  Apis mellifera is an Apis mellifera in the UK or Russia.  Honey depends primarily on the flowering plant from which the nectar is gathered.  Usually the local vegetation is so diverse that honey is honey.  In the South we have periods when certain blooms predominate yielding small quantities with a special flavor in high demand (sourwood honey, tupelo honey).

I dunno about the US, but in Europe, honey is markedly different from place to place.… Click here to continue reading this article

The Importance of Good English When Communicating with Foreign Women

Whilst some foreign women are open to the idea of foreign guys, the language issue is a major hurdle to overcome. Many Russian and Ukrainian women surf the internet seeking foreign guys on forums and such in search of them.
However, the thought of a group of foreign guys discussing them en masse is a bit of a turn off for many. Many think some of the conversations are not entirely tasteful or respectful. At least, that’s the feedback I have had.

People on internet forums speak casually, with many errors and with much slang, it is not an ideal place to practice or develop English.

Should You Avoid Ukrainian Women from Odessa and Kiev?

So you are seeking a woman from the former Soviet Union? Likely Russia or Ukraine. Ukraine has no visa requirements, so is easier right? In Ukraine, all the pretty girls seem to be from Odessa and Kiev. Why is that?

I think this is one of those topics that is ignored, or the meat hidden away on page 10 of other unrelated forum topics across the net. Call it the elephant in the room if you like………

I was talking to a guy on the telephone today, who as may seem to do, was fixated on the idea of travelling to Odessa and/or Kiev to meet a multitude of women – none of which he even had a number for, all of whom claimed to be seeking improbable age gaps – you get the idea.  … Click here to continue reading this article

Thinking About a Russian or Ukrainian Woman? Get The Russian Bride Guide.

The Russian Bride Guide: A beautiful, slim, good-hearted woman as a wife is just a dream for most men. How hard is it to marry one from your country? An educated one? One with good traditional family values? One who doesn’t think she is god’s gift? One a few years younger than you? Very difficult.

Russian, Ukrainian and FSU girls fill the gap that Western wannabe “sex and the city” women created. The FSU has a surplus of good, decent, beautiful, slim women just seeking a good, sober and secure husband.… Click here to continue reading this article

Greater Manchester Police Camera Cars

Let’s talk about Greater Manchester Police’s camera cars. These little buggers have recently sprung up all over the place. They are growing like cellulite on a  fat girls thighs.

Very often on my drive toward central Manchester down the A57 Hyde Road, I see one of these parked up. They are very often to be found lurking on the pavement at Reddish Bridge snooping on the oncoming traffic. Going the other way, they lurk on the pavement on the M67/M60 roundabout at Denton (Sorry Rozzers – I feel the public should know).… Click here to continue reading this article

Is the USA Trying to Censor the Internet by Stealth?

I read an article today about S.968 which is the proposed Protect IP Act introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy. It was designed to “provide the Justice Department and rights holders with important new tools to crack down on rogue websites dedicated to infringing activities,” Senator Leahy said during his introduction of the bill.

However, the tools suggested are directed not against the illegal sites, but against “specified U.S. based third-parties, including Internet service providers, payment processors, online advertising network providers and search engines.”

It allows a court to decide which websites can and cannot be accessed and which results Google (and others) is allowed to return.… Click here to continue reading this article

An interview with James Dyson

James Dyson has made millions by allowing us to see the dirt we suck up. As he calls for more inventors, Lucy Siegle asks him about manufacturing abroad, design disasters and whether he could build a nuclear reactor.

I am at Dyson HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, the beacon of British industrialism, which is not a dark satanic mill but all light, contoured glass and bridges over placid water between sculptures. This is the birthplace of the bagless, see-through vacuum cleaner that offers 100% suction (so well known it need only be referred to as “the Dyson”) and the planet’s most powerful hand dryer, the Airblade.… Click here to continue reading this article
