Russia Should Abolish Visas for the EU, America and the Developed World. Top Russian Official Agrees.

If Western sanctions against Russia are to continue, Russia is in a unique position to take advantage of the situation by relaxing visa rules and welcoming tourists.

Right now, you can get almost twice as many roubles for your money as you could a year ago. This makes Russia cheaper to visit than it ever was.

However, the current onerous requirements and unnecessary bureaucracy to obtain a visa to Russia has been holding Russian tourism back for many years. The current visa system is inconsistent, inconvenient, and puts many people off travelling to Russia.… Click here to continue reading this article

Russian “Threat” Proves American Ignorance, Arrogance and Hypocrisy

A recent story headlined on CNN.com asked the question, “Why is Russia sending bombers close to U.S. airspace?”, after several Russian military aircraft flew near U.S. airspace along the coasts of Alaska and California. Perhaps a better question would be why has Russia waited so long to do so?

The story includes a smattering of ominous, juvenile-level rhetoric from Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Republican Congressman from Illinois, who describes what Russia is doing as an “act of aggression.” He compares Vladimir Putin to a diminutive school bully who acts overly tough, no doubt an allusion to Russia’s reduced influence in world affairs since the end of the Cold War.… Click here to continue reading this article

Russia has France on the Ropes: French now Saying Crimea is Russia

So as we have all probably read in the news, France has sent some MP’s to Crimea.

Why is this significant? This is the first step to the EU recognising Crimea is Russia – that’s why.

The sub text is France is really hurting with the sanctions lark and want to rebuild relations with Russia. Not only the 5 million Euros a month upkeep for the ships Russia has now cancelled, but the agricultural, cheese and wine industries are hurting too.

Really, the EU is hurting not doing so much trade with Russia (and Uncle Sam ain’t buying the produce).… Click here to continue reading this article

Russia Considering Overdue Changes to the Current Visa System

Russia Considering Overdue Changes to the Current Visa System

Oleg Safonov, the head of Russia’s Federal Tourism Agency, has proposed simplifying the visa regime for foreign tourists coming to Russia.

The current onerous requirements and unnecessary bureaucracy in place to obtain a visa to Russia has been holding Russian tourism back for many years. Safonov’s proposal includes electronic visas, visas on arrival and simplification of the registration process.

Travellers to Russia will very much welcome the moves, if implemented. The current visa system is inconsistent, inconvenient and puts many people off travelling to Russia.… Click here to continue reading this article

A Realistic Look at the ‘Russian Threat’ to the Baltic States.

We hear daily burbling in the western media about ‘Russian Aggression’.

Western hacks make themselves busy each day diligently reworking US State Department propaganda about threats to the Baltic states.

As with many things, many people take these things at face value, without actually trying to ascertain if a threat actually exists or was ever made.

Many in the west misunderstand the Ukrainian situation, and use what the western media regurgitates, to extrapolate from it that Russia is some aggressive, acquisitive behemoth that must be stopped before they gobble up the Baltic states.… Click here to continue reading this article

‘Nuclear war our likely future’: Russia & China won’t accept US hegemony, Reagan official warns

The White House is determined to block the rise of the key nuclear-armed nations, Russia and China, neither of whom will join the “world’s acceptance of Washington’s hegemony,” says head of the Institute for Political Economy, Paul Craig Roberts.

The former US assistant secretary of the Treasury for economic policy, Dr Paul Craig Roberts, has written on his blog that Beijing is currently “confronted with the Pivot to Asia and the construction of new US naval and air bases to ensure Washington’s control of the South China Sea, now defined as an area of American National Interests.”Click here to continue reading this article

Why the US Economy is Finished. The Managed Decline of the USA by Russia & China.

The United States is the greatest threat to world peace. This is because it is lashing out because its economy is collapsing.

Lets think about this.

America is slowly collapsing. Their economy is a ponzi scheme, propped up by world use of the dollar. However, Russia, Iran, China and some other BRICS countries are leading a long overdue de-dollarisation of the world.

A strong economy needs to manufacture stuff and export.

In Europe, what do we actually buy that is made in America?

Something that most Americans don’t get is just how little we see of American products.… Click here to continue reading this article

GE2015 Analysis. Post General Election Comment.

David Cameron is once again Prime Minister.

It was pretty much a given he would remain PM, but the expectation was that he would be propped up by Lib Dem, UKIP and/or the DUP in another coalition of some kind.

But the prospect of Labour propped up by the Scottish Nationals scared voters that the UK would be run with a Socialist/Leftist Scotland-centric coalition that would be hard to break; one of whom wanted to break up the UK (Sturgeon).

The voters came out and the Tories even gained back votes from UKIP.… Click here to continue reading this article

EU ambassadors and deputies of the Russian State Duma will discuss the lifting of sanctions

The European Union is ready to restore dialogue with Russia

EU Ambassadors at a closed meeting with the head of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Alexei Pushkov offered to discuss the lifting of sanctions the EU to Russian politicians and businessmen. How to tell the “News” in the State Duma, the meeting will be held at the initiative of the European diplomats, that is a good signal for the resumption of dialogue and cooperation.

– We decided to meet European colleagues, as we believe that, especially after the Minsk Agreement, such a dialogue may be useful because the tension in the relations with the EU today is preserved.… Click here to continue reading this article

NATO is using Ukraine crisis to advance towards Russian borders

NATO is using the situation in Ukraine to push closer to Russia’s border, according to the Russian deputy defense minister. He says the Alliance’s activities have expanded considerably over the past years.

In their push, Anatoly Antonov says Allied forces are ignoring diplomacy.

“We’ve noticed that NATO member states are using the situation in southeastern Ukraine as a pretext to discard all diplomatic conventions, tricks and slogans and push forward, closer to the Russian border.”

According to the minister, what NATO is doing is completely out of proportion with what NATO commanders call the build-up of Russian forces on its side of the border in Ukraine.… Click here to continue reading this article

More on Russia, The Rouble, Sanctions & Gas.

The western media likes to howl about how sanctions are affecting Russia. But who do they really effect?

The effect of US trade sanctions on Russia and vice versa is minute as their total annual trade value was about $5-6 billion. If this halved to $3 billion neither the US or Russia would notice. That is pocket change…

The effect of trade sanctions on Europe is much more severe. Putin has always said that trade sanctions cuts both ways. It appears that these trade sanctions are now tipping continental Europe into a “triple dip” recession.… Click here to continue reading this article

American “Democracy”, Russia, Ukraine and the EU.

I read an article today I thought so excellent I wanted to republish it here.

Written by a gentleman by the name of Timothy V. Gatto on a website called MWC News – Media with Conscience.

I hope MWC agree to us republishing it here with a citation and a backlink to source.

We very seldom publish the work of other people here unless we think it particularly incisive and noteworthy.

Another Successful American Propaganda Effort

American political figures like to talk about “American Democracy”. The truth is there is no “American Democracy”; it is something that our rulers like to foist upon the World stage much like parents like to tell their children about Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny.… Click here to continue reading this article

Why is the Western Media so Biased Against Russia?

The British media and especially the BBC are anti-Russian.

The language they use is always purposely misleading. The Russian point of view is never considered. The western media on the whole start from an assumed point that Russia is always in the wrong, always the aggressor, and every item reported is in the same vein. British media is like a mouthpiece for America.

The BBC even has its own propoganda channel in Russian: http://www.bbc.co.uk/russian/

Take turning the gas off to Ukraine: That has always been framed as nasty Russia spitefully turning the gas off on poor little helpless Ukraine.Click here to continue reading this article

What is the real story with Ukraine, Russia, the EU and America?

What is the real story with Ukraine, Russia, the EU and America?

Anyone who reads Western media might feel that they have a handle on what is going on in Ukraine.

You have been misled by the Western media to hold one, and only one view: There is ‘terrorism’ perpetrated by ‘pro-Russian separatists’, armed by Russia, and Vladimir Putin is the main culprit. Especially with flight MH17.

End of story. Anyone who believes differently is a Russian propaganda merchant.

Vladimir Putin is the evil bogeyman (white cat optional). America wants to spread democracy across the world.… Click here to continue reading this article

Why would Ukraine purposely shoot down flight MH17?

The story goes – and I am only repeating the theories I have read here – that a large number of Ukrainian forces were hemmed in near the Russian border and faring very badly and something drastic needed to happen before they were toast.

Ukraine is low on manpower and has resorted to conscription again; they don’t have much juice left.

This was a manoeuvre to try to drag in the international community to do the job in the east for them. If the world buys the tale that the rebels did it, backed up by some fabricated audio and video, opinion turns against the rebels and Russia would have to throw them under the bus too in order to save face.Click here to continue reading this article

NATO trains terrorists who destabilize situation in Ukraine

About 400 elite commandos from a notorious US private security firm, Academi, are involved in a punitive operation mounted by Ukraine’s new government against federalization supporters in eastern Ukraine, the German Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported on Sunday.

According to the newspaper, Academi mercenaries participate in attacks against federalization supporters near Slavyansk. So far, it’s unclear who hired them.

Media reports claiming that the Ukrainian leadership wants to recruit personnel from private foreign military companies “to maintain law and order” may suggest that the Kiev regime wants to suppress civil protest and discontent, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Ukraine: So What is Vladimir Putin Really Planning?

Unlike most westerners, I do not blindly believe western media, I do not subscribe to the “America good – Russia bad” media hysteria being shamelessly stage-managed by our governments.

Perhaps having a Russian-born wife makes me take a more balanced view.

I am not anti-Russian, I am not anti-Putin. Nor am I anti-American. I might be anti-EU, if voting for Nigel Farrage labels me that.

However, I am very interested in the whole Ukraine and Russia situation.

We had a guest post here recently by the former Soviet Union resident commentator Andrew Wilson entitled Ukraine and American News Propaganda Fed to the Sheeple.… Click here to continue reading this article

Crimea & Russia – The Aftermath.

Following Russia’s recent re-acquisition of its territory in Crimea from an unstable Ukraine, we must wonder what comes next.

What isn’t likely to come next – contrary to what the hysterical media will have you believe – is that Russia will be ‘invading’ (as they put it) anywhere else too soon.

Despite the fever pitch whipped up in the media, those familiar with Russian thinking know full well that the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and Poland have nothing fear from Russia, despite the pontificating and sabre rattling of America and its EU puppets.… Click here to continue reading this article

Ukraine and American News Propaganda fed to the Sheeple

Those looking for the real deal on Russia, Ukraine and the USA need look no further.

We all know that Russia invaded Ukraine and might not stop there, right? Except that is not quite the case. The sheeple all believe that, as this is what Western media pedals.

A mistake that most people are making and the single most spectacular success of the propaganda being fed to you is this:

What started out as interference in the domestic politics of an independent state by the US has now been successfully re-framed to the sheeple in the west as actions on the part of Russia.… Click here to continue reading this article

President Putin’s 4th March 2014 Speech on Ukraine in English

The President of Russia met with media representatives to answer a number of their questions, in particular with regard to the situation in Ukraine.

PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN: Good afternoon, colleagues,

How shall we do this? This is what I’d like to suggest: let’s have a conversation, rather than an interview. Therefore, I would ask you to begin by stating all your questions, I will jot them down and try to answer them, and then we will have a more detailed discussion of the specifics that interest you most.… Click here to continue reading this article
